Frequently asked questions

How this works, answered plainly.

These are the operational questions — how a visit runs, how lab work is ordered, how anything shipped reaches you, and how billing and cancellation work. Questions about your own health need a clinician, and the quickest way to reach one is to write to us.

Getting care

Visits, labs and telehealth

What actually happens, in what order, and what this way of working cannot do.

How does a visit work?

Everything happens remotely. You complete an intake covering your health history, what you are already taking and what you are trying to change; a clinician reads it alongside your lab work; and your plan is written from that. Follow-up runs the same way, online or by phone.

Do I have to come to an office?

No. Built for Life is telehealth-first, so intake, review and follow-up all happen wherever you are.

How is lab work ordered?

Lab work is ordered by the practice before a plan is written, and where you go to have it done is arranged with you at the time. Your results come back to the practice and are read against your history and your goals rather than on their own.

What can telehealth not do?

It cannot examine you in person and it cannot handle an emergency. If you think you are having a medical emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department. There are things a clinician will tell you to have seen in person, and being told that is the service working rather than failing.

Medications, supplements and your plan

How anything your plan includes reaches you, and who decides what is in it.

How do medications and supplements reach me?

Where prescription medications or evidence-based supplements form part of your plan, they are shipped to the address you give us, discreetly packaged. You are told what is coming before it is sent.

Who decides what is in my plan?

A clinician does, working from your intake and your lab results. Nothing on this site is a plan you pick for yourself, and nothing on it should be read as advice about what you personally should take.

Can I ask a question between visits?

Yes. Write to sean@builtforlifemed.com or call 941-600-9860, and anything that needs a clinician is put in front of one.

Billing, cancelling and getting in touch

What this page can tell you, and which page is the binding version when it matters.

What does a program cost?

We do not publish figures on this site. What a program involves depends on which one you start and on what your lab work turns out to call for, so the amount is given to you in writing after a consultation. The pricing page sets out what is included and how billing works.

How does billing work, and how do I cancel?

Charges recur on the schedule you agreed to. How a membership renews and how much notice ends it are set out in the Terms of Service; what is refundable, what is not, and how long you have to ask are in the Refund Policy. Those two pages are the binding versions, not this one.

How do I get in touch?

Write to sean@builtforlifemed.com or call 941-600-9860. Built for Life is operated by Wolverine Management Group LLC, of 1436 Pinyon Pine Drive, Sarasota, FL 34240, and the same details are on every one of our legal pages.

Still have a question?

If it is a question about your own health, it needs a clinician rather than a web page. Write to us and we will make sure it reaches one.
